The Kyara - KyNam - Kinam by Binh Nghia Agarwood
The Kyara/KyNam/Kinam Oud, collected since the 1950s, is considered to be the aged one in Vietnam now?
Please be briefly summarized the history of the aged Kyara/KyNam/Kinam Oud owned by Binh Nghia Agarwood Company.
In 1932, Mr. Trieu Quach's family (born in 1889) immigrated from China to Vietnam, with his daughter, Ms. Trieu Thi Sam.
Trieu Thi Sam (born in 1920) was married to Mr. Quang Cuong (born in 1910) - a Champa native...The couple were the owners of the famous Bac Dai An Hoa pharmacy in Phan Thiet. Dai An Hoa herbal medicine store opened its medical treatment since 1947, specializing in treating and giving medical prescription for people from all over the region from Nha Trang towards the South.
Mr. Quang Cuong was either the owner of a traditional Chinese medicine store or the person who treated patients.
Mr. Quang Cuong was also a person who searched for herbal medicine for treatment. Therefore, when searching for herbal medicine, he usually went to all provinces and cities, especially in the central region because it had the rare medicinal herbs of that period the most.
In his collection of rare medicinal herbs, there is a piece of Kyara/KyNam/Kinam Oud (recalled by his family) which followed Mr. Quang Cuong and Trieu Thi Sam since 1961 while he went to Khanh Hoa and was offered by a patient as a gift after helping the patient from his illness.
This piece of Kyara/KyNam/Kinam Oud was originally weighed about 500 grams. During Mr. Quang Cuong's lifetime, he used the Oud as part of the medicine, and when he passed away, Mrs. Trieu Thi Sam gave the rest to her next generation, and now it is weighted 165 grams. Nobody knows when it was founded exactly in Khanh Hoa but only around the 1950s and Mr. Quang Cuong got it in 1961.
Binh Nghia Agarwood Company owns this piece Kyara/KyNam/Kinam Agarwood currently. It is still very tender and extraordinary fragrant after 60 years.
